Diocese Leadership Conference 2025
We are delighted that our bi-annual leadership conference will be returning in 2025!
Places are limited and previous years have sold out - don't miss out! Places are £170 for SLA subscribing schools, £200 for non-subscribing schools. This conference is open to all Church School Leaders in the Diocese including, CEOs, Executive Heads, Heads of School, Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers and Chairs of Governors.
This is an exciting opportunity to come together as a family of Church Schools, to network together and to hear from fantastic speakers.
This year our topic is exploring the impact of childhood poverty. We know that increasingly high deprivation is an issue facing many of our schools, in all parts of the Diocese. We have lined up some excellent speakers on the topic and hope that you will take knowledge and ideas away with you, that will help you to support your communities even further, as well as feeling motivated and inspired by the knowledge that the work you are doing, really does make a difference.
We have 4 fantastic speakers joining us:
Paul Morrison
Paul Morrison works as a policy advisor to the Baptist, Methodist, and United Reformed Churches, and the Church of Scotland, on issues of poverty and inequality. His current focus is on the benefits system and ensuring that those who experience poverty are included in every aspect of its design and development. He is also a trustee of the Trussell Trust.
Mark Russell
Mark is Chief Executive of the Children's Society, we are delighted to have him with us. He will be talking about the impact of Childhood Poverty and The Good Childhood Report.
Amanda McGarrigle, Head Teacher of St Mary’s Primary School, Swanley
Amanda has a wealth of experience as a headteacher in an area of high deprivation and she will be sharing her experience and wisdom.
Jaz Ampaw Farr
Multi-award-winning inspirational speaker and one of the top female motivational speakers in the UK, Jaz is a force of nature who galvanises people to take action.
This world class re-framer has a unique ability to help people reframe their stories and situations, bringing transformation in their work, life and communities. This is Jaz’s alchemy.

Her authentic honesty and humour consistently empower people to think differently about leading themselves and others.
Along with her husband Ed, Jaz is co-founder of the leadership development consultancy Be Human First Limited. Together, they help leaders who want to influence, inspire and motivate their teams with greater engagement in order to grow their businesses and leave a lifelong legacy.
